TERMS & CONDITIONS
By placing an order with MAYUS CAKES & BAKERY INC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions:
1. Deposits and Cancellations
A deposit or full payment is required to reserve your order and event date.
If you need to cancel your order, you must notify us at least three (3) days before your scheduled event date to be eligible for a refund of your deposit or payment. Cancellations made less than three (3) days before the event are non-refundable, as preparation and production may have already begun.
2. Final Payment
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining balance must be paid in full no later than one (1) week before your scheduled event date.
Failure to receive full payment by the required deadline may result in cancellation of your order or delays in production.
3. Delivery
Delivery is available for an additional fee based on the delivery location. The applicable delivery fee will be included in your final invoice.
Once a cake has been delivered to the agreed location and accepted by the customer or designated recipient, responsibility for the cake transfers to the customer.
4. Pickup, Transportation & Cake Care
If you choose to pick up your order, you assume full responsibility for transporting the cake safely.
Whether picked up or delivered, we are not responsible for any damage occurring after the cake has been received.
Customers are responsible for providing a sturdy, level table or surface capable of supporting the cake.
For best results, cakes should be stored and displayed in a cool environment, ideally at or below 75°F (24°C), away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
5. Photography
We may photograph our cake creations before delivery or pickup for quality control, portfolio, website, social media, advertising, or other promotional purposes.
These photographs will feature the cake itself and will not intentionally identify the customer unless separate permission has been obtained.
6. Allergies
Our products are prepared in a kitchen that handles ingredients including, but not limited to:
- Milk
- Eggs
- Wheat
- Soy
- Peanuts
- Tree nuts
- Sesame
- Other common allergens
Because our kitchen is not allergen-free, we cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from cross-contact with allergens.
Customers are responsible for informing their guests of this potential risk and agree to release MAYUS CAKES & BAKERY INC from liability related to allergic reactions.
7. Cake Supports
Tiered cakes and certain decorated cakes contain food-safe support structures such as dowels, rods, skewers, or other non-edible components that are necessary for stability during transportation and display.
These supports must be removed before serving or consuming the cake.
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that anyone serving the cake is aware of and removes these support materials.
8. Design Variations
Every cake is handcrafted. While we make every effort to closely match inspiration photos or requested designs, slight variations in color, decoration, placement, and artistic details may occur. By placing an order, you acknowledge that each cake is a unique, custom creation.
9. Order Accuracy
Customers are responsible for reviewing all order details, including names, dates, flavors, sizes, colors, design selections, pickup or delivery information, and spelling of personalized messages before submitting payment. Once an order has been approved and production has begun, changes may not be possible or may be subject to additional charges.
10. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for delays or inability to fulfill an order due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, utility outages, government actions, accidents, or other unforeseen events.
11. Acceptance of Terms
By placing an order and submitting a deposit or payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
